Job Opportunity - Full Time Mechanic

This is a full time permanent position depending on the right candidate will be joining a busy experienced team.

The successful candidate will be an experienced bike mechanic with a minimum of three years’ experience in the industry. You should be able to carry out all aspects of bicycle repairs to the highest standard, including, but not limited to:

- bleeding and adjustment of hydraulic disc brakes
- Installation of all types of bottom bracket units
- Replacement of headset and bearings, wheel axle replacement
- Buckles and spoke replacement.
- Knowledge of electronic gear systems and usage of Shimano’s eTube software is required.

As Trek Retailer of The Year, Gary’s Cycles is a retailer of high end road, electric bikes and mountain bikes from the world’s best bicycle company.The candidate will need to be fully proficient at the assembly and preparation for sale of highly complex road, electric and mountain bikes.

As one of the senior mechanic's you will be responsible for your daily workload in repairing bike and dealing with any warranty claims within workshop. You would need to operate in a professional and tidy manner, as well as the scheduling of customer repairs, management of workshop supplies and stock control, maintenance of tools and equipment and communicating with customers about their repairs.

You will be required to keep records via our epos system as well as having a good knowledge of computers and the operation of B2B.

The candidate must be willing to attend training courses provided by the brands we deal with and to complete online certification modules. The position will offer an attractive salary package commensurate with the experience of the candidate.
